» Tips on Garden or Landscape lighting
By Home Home Depot | Published 06/7/2010 | Home and Garden | Unrated
Many consider the usefulness of garden lighting to add decorative style to one's home. It adds beauty to your garden especially at night and it pushes burglars away and discourages them to enter your home at night because of the lights. But before doing the necessary processes of garden lighting, consider the following tips to ensure the quality and uniqueness of the design you want to be installed in your garden.

1. Do not place a continuous stream of lightings in your garden path. What you need are just well-placed lights even if these are just a few. Remember, less is still more. The simplest you make it, the more attractive it becomes. Do not overdo your garden with so many lights unless you decide to have garden lighting for security purposes.

Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your own garden or just want to see some lovely outdoor spaces, two Midlands garden tours are just what Mother Nature ordered.

The ninth annual Lexington Master Gardener Volunteers Tour, today, Saturday and Sunday, includes nine gardens in the West Columbia and Irmo areas, plus Riverbanks Botanical Garden. Landscapes and gardens on the tour include courtyard gardens surrounded by tall brick walls, climbing vines and espaliered shrubs, water features, a cottage garden, ivy terraces, an infinity pool and an herb garden.

The Columbia Green annual Festival of Gardens, today and Saturday, features 12 homes in the Spring Valley area with a variety of landscapes: gardens on the golf course, on lakes and in backyards hidden from the road; a garden train; and the garden of a national rosarian.

I honestly believe that if you do a whole lot of work at home DIY, then you cannot escape getting a laser measuring device, they really will save you loads of time and lots of headaces.A laser  device is one of the most handy things you are able to get for any house enhancement work, or any work close to the house. If you have knowledge doing home improvement you may know that long distance measuring can at times be frustrating and time consuming. For me personally, I needed to get a laser measuring tool right after I spent the day before trying to measure the range between two large trees around my house, it took me all afternoon and it was really annoying. It even turned out that I had measured quite inaccurately.
