Wharton man charged with shoplifting at Roxbury Home Depot

ROXBURY TWP. — A Wharton man has been charged with shoplifting after an attempted scam at the Roxbury Home Depot store.
According to police, on June 10, Patrolman Jim Kenny responded to the Home Depot in reference to a person trying to sell a Home Depot gift card to customers in the store.
The person attempting to sell the gift cards was identified as Anthony Mennicucci, 28, of Wharton.
The value of the card was $192 and Mennicucci was attempting to sell it for $150.
At first, police said Mennicucci said he returned items from his uncle’s construction company that were bought at Home Depot.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Lucy Carranza could feel the electric current running through her boyfriend, Daniel Naranjo, as she tried to pry him from the wall in her parents' attic Thursday morning.
He had said he just needed to add one final staple to the insulation they spent the last two days putting up.
That final staple struck a live electrical wire.
With her left hand on the stapler, right hand on his shoulder, Lucy managed to release Daniel after a few seconds. He fell face-first to the ground, unresponsive.
