Small business workshops to be held at ULM
The Louisiana Small Business Development Center will hold two workshops at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The “Home-Based Business Tax Issues” workshop is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. June 2 in the ULM Administration building Room 2-105.
The workshop will cover federal tax responsibilities of home-based business owners. Other topics will include business expenses, record keeping, and small business basics.
The workshop will be presented by Gina Jones, a member of the Louisiana Society of Enrolled Agents.
The second workshop, “Starting and Financing a Small Business,” is from 9-11 a.m. June 4 in the ULM Administration building Room 2-105.
The workshop is recommended for individuals interested in determining the feasibility of their business idea or those who are planning to start or have already started a small business. Topics also include ideas for those who may be expanding their business, seeking a small business loan, or want to learn more about planning.
There is no charge for either workshop.
