Home and Garden Expo starts today
Raising backyard chickens, composting tea to rejuvenate the soil of your garden or designing a green interior.
Those are just a few ideas you will find for your home and garden projects at the Central Coast Home and Garden Expo today and Sunday.
This two-day event will be held at the Cocoanut Grove and feature vendors from around the Monterey Bay Area showcasing their latest products and ideas. Three different stages will welcome different presentations throughout the weekend.
The Gardening stage will tackle sustainable and edible gardening topics such as water-wise lawn alternatives. The Culinary stage will host demonstrations by executive chefs Jozseph Schultz, Dave Smith, executive chef from Peachwood's and Heather Parsons, Cocoanut Grove's executive chef. The Alternative Living stage will display the latest sustainable living solutions, including home and solar technologies.
The expo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. Admission is $3, kids 12 and under free with paid adult. A $500 cash prize will be awarded both days and the first 200 attendees will receive a free plant.
