With the momentum of an improving economy, a new sales strategy and a popular new product, Napa Home & Garden is extending its lease and relocating to a larger showroom within the IHFC – space H420.

According to Jerry Cunningham, CEO of Napa Home & Garden, his company “is off to a fabulous year -- sales are up almost 100%.”  He attributes that growth to the addition of two full-time account people focusing on key accounts, as well as the new Napa Firelights.

A Firelight is a decorative glazed ceramic vase or pot that burns gel fuel.  “It’s the kind of product that works in almost every kind of store and has had remarkable sell through,” Cunningham said. “Even better, it is sold with NapaFire, a proprietary gel fuel that is a revolutionary, clean-burning, non-toxic gel fuel made from recycled consumer waste. The store gets a fast sale from the Firelite and years of repeat sales from the fuel. We have about 50 styles, with more coming, and we will make it a prominent part of our display at High Point.”

A longtime exhibitor at High Point Market, Napa has been in the IHFC for four years. While his company has always been strong in the garden category, Cunningham said it was the recent move toward adding more home decor products that has helped Napa Home & Garden begin to seriously penetrate the furniture market.

“The location of our showroom is critical in any market but especially High Point where we  are committed to increase our market share substantially in  2010,” said KC Cunninham. “Our new space H-420 has it all. Jerry and I jumped at the opportunity immediately, knowing we could make this new space our home for a long time.”
