$2.9M bid for Rome Home Depot may be too low to sell
The winning bid for the former Rome Home Depot location was $2.9 million.
However, the bid did not meet the undisclosed reserve set by the seller, which means a sale may not go through.
The property is assessed at nearly $7.2 million.
The giant orange and beige retail store on Rome-Taberg Road has sat empty since it closed in the summer of 2008.
The store wasn’t open for long in Rome. The 112,940-square-foot building — with 19,646-square-feet of outdoor side yard — opened in 2003.
Real Estate Disposition’s Commercial Real Estate Auction Division had the property listed on www.auction.com along with 10 other former Home Depot locations.
