Valley Home Depot stores to hire 700 for 'seasonal' work
The Home Depot announced Thursday that Phoenix-area stores are now hiring hundreds of seasonal and part-time employees. Company officials say that most job seekers think of the holidays when they think of seasonal work, but that spring is a busy time for the home improvement industry. The Home Depot needs to hire 700 people to work in customer service, sales, cashiers and in specialty departments around the Valley. Most of these positions will be temporary. The company says it is looking for candidates dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and with skills that apply for work in departments such as garden, electrical, plumbing, paint, and tool rental. Interested candidates can apply for positions at http://careers.homedepot.com/ or at the in-store career kiosk at a local Home Depot store. Hiring is going on now for the next three to six weeks until the positions are filled.
