Authorities seek help in finding Home Depot robber
Escambia Sheriff's Office investigators on Thursday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a Sunday robbery of a Home Depot in the 500 block of West Nine Mile Road. The black man, believed to be in his early 40s, was wearing a mask and was described by witnesses as about 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He had a thin mustache. He held a gun on two Home Depot employees as he took an undisclosed amount of money from a vault, Escambia County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Ted Roy said. The robbery was reported at 6:40 p.m., about 20 minutes before the store's scheduled closing time. The man was last seen wearing gray Dickies brand pants, a dark gray jacket, black gloves with "mechanic" written on them and gray shoes with blue stripes.
