Local businesses, Home Depot to help Valley Mission
Several area businesses are teaming up with Home Depot to help the Valley Mission declutter and get organized. Kathryn McMillan and Teresa Barr of Clutter Conversions in Staunton is teaming up with Jim Maust, owner of Venture Builders and Deb Mitchell, owner of the Design Group of Harrisonburg and Home Depot’s Home Team Pros, in a project to declutter and organize three sections at the Valley Mission at 1513 W. Beverley St. The work will take place today and Saturday, in conjunction with activities ongoing nationwide with Get Organized Month, an effort of the National Association of Professional Organizers. “By building and installing shelving units and reorganizing donations, these storage rooms will become better organized, helping us to make better use of donations received and more accurately target our donation requests,” Wendy Shiflett, Valley Mission public-relations coordinator, said in a press release. http://www.newsleader.com/article/20100122/NEWS01/ |
