Home Depot cashier in Pasco accused of using forgotten credit card
At noon on Feb. 24, a woman used her credit card at the Home Depot on Eiland Boulevard. She forgot to get it back. The cashier kept it, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, and went on a spending spree on his dinner break that evening. Radames Estrella, 20, of Wesley Chapel went to Wal-Mart and bought a laptop computer and car speakers with the stolen card, racking up a $436.31 bill, the report said. Authorities say after his shift, he went to Target in Wesley Chapel and bought $234.46 in unspecified items. Later he tried to buy fuel, the report states, but the card was rejected. On March 1, Estrella was questioned at work by his supervisor and Home Depot's loss prevention staffers. The report states Estrella admitted taking the card and using it. He was arrested Thursday on a charge of fraudulently using a credit card. He is being held at the Land O'Lakes jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
