Home builder goes out of business leaving mess for development
A housing development in Eagle Mountain is facing some big problems. Sundance Homes went out of business, leaving an organizational mess for the home owners association. City manager John Hendrickson said, "All the developments, the roads and so forth, are all private, and so they weren't built to a public standard, so that's the big problem in Silver Lake." Hendrickson says because the area is private property, the city can't do much. "We can't give them legal advice, there's no way we can because it's private, it's a private matter," he said. Hendrickson says it's a problem many communities are seeing during this housing crisis.
