HAVERHILL — A city man told police he dropped his debit card inside a Water Street package store and learned later several purchases had been made using it at businesses throughout the city.

The victim told police he did not realize the card was missing until later in the evening. The victim told police he advised the bank of his last transaction at the package store and any transactions after that were not his,

The incident was reported Sunday at 1:37 p.m., police said.
