Home and garden club news
Accredited flower show judge Mary Lee Minor, a member of the Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club, lectured, conducted practice judging and prepared an exam for students at the Exhibitors' and Judges' School presentation by the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. Two local garden club members, June Gebhardt, also of Earth, Wind and Flowers, and Michael Hoepf of Petal Pushers, attended the two day school that took place Sept. 22 and 23 at the Crowne Plaza, North in Columbus. Minor presented "Winter and Holiday Shows" using dried materials for autumn, then moved into the Christmas season with an accent on fresh flowers and foliages. She included wreaths, swags, door decorations, miniature and small designs, a kissing ball, table top trees, corsages, breakfast trays, a table picture and an educational on gourds.
