Home improvement chains down after Fed decision
Shares of home improvement retailers were lower Tuesday afternoon after the Federal Reserve said it wasn't changing a key interest rate. The central bank said keeping its target for the federal funds rate at 2 percent. Shares of Home Depot Inc., based in Atlanta, dropped 94 cents, or 3.3 percent, to $27.56 in afternoon trading.
