How Do I Clean My Home Electronics?
The number one rule in keeping electronics cleaning and operating smoothly is to minimize dust. Here are a few guidelines to consider:

1. No Windex on LCD Screens: Because flat panel televisions and computers have a clear plastic face, you shouldn’t clean them with Windex or solvent-based cleaners. They will only make the face look smeared or discolored. Instead, use a microfiber cleaning cloth dampened with plain water.

2. Remove Dust: Using a slightly damp microfiber cloth, wipe down all of your electronics to remove dust. Never spray cleaners directly onto electronics and never wipe with a wet cloth. The water and overspray can damage electronics. To prevent static electricity, unplug the equipment before cleaning.

To help keep even the nooks and crannies of your TV dust free, use a blower can (specifically made for electronics) to blow out the dust from sides and back of the machine.

3. Vaccum Speakers & Grills: Use the upholstery brush on your vacuum cleaner to clean the fabrics and grills then wipe down the exterior with Windex or Endust. Do not use Pledge or other silicon based cleaners as this can result in fingerprints or oily finishes.
